Good to know
Our house rules
- The lodge accommodates a maximum of 8 guests.
- Arrival from 16:00, departure by 10:00.
- The Kreischberg Lodge is a non-smoking house.
- Parties and events are not permitted.
- Dogs are welcome – a maximum of 2 dogs, €10 per dog per day.
- From 10 pm the whirlpool may no longer be used. Quiet hours apply on the terrace and in the garden from 10 pm. Please be considerate of our neighbours.
- Please close the whirlpool cover completely after each use so that the water temperature is maintained and electricity is saved.

General booking information
- Stay
- The minimum stay is usually 3 nights. In peak season we only rent by the week. The arrival day is by arrangement.
- Included in the rental price
- Household electricity, water, use of the whirlpool, sauna and firewood for the wood-burning stove are included. Electricity for charging electric cars is charged separately at €0.35 per kWh.
- Deposit & balance
- A 25% deposit on booking serves as a reservation confirmation. The remaining amount is due 30 days before arrival.
- Arrival & departure
- Arrival from 16:00, departure by 10:00 in accordance with the terms, unless otherwise agreed.
- Toddlers up to 3 years stay free
- The local overnight tax is €2.50 per person aged 15 and over per night for nights up to 30 Nov 2026 and €2.80 for nights from 1 Dec 2026 – the date of the overnight stay applies.
- Cost per dog: €10/day, maximum 2 dogs
- The final cleaning fee is €200, plus €11 per person and stay for bed linen and towels
With a weekly booking you get another 10% extra for booking directly.
Cancellation
You can find the cancellation terms for your stay here and in the Booking and rental terms.
- Free cancellation is possible up to 3 months before arrival at the latest
- 3 to 1 month before the arrival day: 40% of the rental price
- 1 month to 1 week before the arrival day: 70% of the rental price
- 1 week before the arrival day: 90% of the rental price
- In the event of no-show or early departure, the statutory rights, the agreed cancellation terms and the booking and rental terms apply.

With us, you only pay for what you actually use.
With us you only pay for what you actually use. We deliberately refrain from automatically including the Murtal guest card in our prices – for more fairness, flexibility and individual holiday planning.
Note on the Murau guest card
Taking part in the Murau GästeCard would mean that we as hosts would have to enter into a flat-rate commitment long before the season starts – regardless of whether our guests actually use the services offered. For this reason, like many other hosts, we have deliberately decided not to automatically include the Murau GästeCard in our rental prices. The card offers discounts on public transport, mountain railways and excursion destinations – ideal for guests with an extensive excursion programme. However, as many of our guests plan their holiday programme individually and flexibly with their own car, we deliberately want to spare you this additional cost.
For holidaymakers who want to use many of these offers, the Steiermark Card is a good alternative. The card is available online, but also at many sales outlets, e.g. at the valley station of the Kreischberg cable car. www.steiermark-card.net
